If you’ve heard about the recent floods at Moddershall Oaks Spa, you’ll know it was a bit of a nightmare. The spa and dining areas were submerged, and footage of the flooding went viral, making its way across news outlets and social media. Needless to say, this was not how anyone expected things to go, especially for a luxury spa in Staffordshire.

However, as challenging as it was, this flood gave us an unexpected opportunity to showcase the spa’s beautiful facilities—while they were empty!

Turning a Tough Situation into an Opportunity

When the floods hit, the spa team had to quickly get to work doing damage control. While things were being restored, we had a rare chance to photograph the space without the usual hustle and bustle of guests.

It’s not often you get to capture a luxury location like Moddershall Oaks Spa in such a tranquil state, without crowds, noise, or people moving around. It was the perfect time to show off the spa’s stunning design, the peaceful atmosphere, and those little details that make it so special.

Behind the Lens

We focused on capturing the essence of what makes Moddershall Oaks unique—from the serene treatment rooms to the calming outdoor spaces, and of course, the beautiful spa pools. Despite the challenging circumstances, it was an absolute pleasure to be able to highlight the relaxing, rejuvenating experience this spa offers.

This shoot was all about showing the spa in its purest form—uninterrupted, calm, and the luxurious haven it truly is.

If you’re looking to unwind, pamper yourself, and treat your skin (or just need a peaceful day away), I can’t recommend Moddershall Oaks Spa enough. Their attention to detail, customer care, and stunning surroundings are second to none.
