A heartfelt British-Chinese fusion wedding full of love, fun and DIY magic
A Very Special One – Foxtail Barns Wedding
This wedding was always going to be extra emotional for me – because the bride is my baby sister! In March, Rox and Nick tied the knot at the beautiful Foxtail Barns in Staffordshire, and I had the huge honour of capturing every moment. It was a day filled with culture, connection, and a whole lot of joy.

A Blend of Traditions
The Foxtail barns wedding was a gorgeous mix of British wedding traditions and Chinese cultural elements, thoughtfully woven throughout the day. Rox and Nick included a Chinese tea ceremony, paying respect to elders – a meaningful moment that had everyone a little teary-eyed. They also made space for a few games of Mahjong, a sweet tribute to our late grandparents. It was such a lovely way to bring family heritage into a modern UK wedding.

Why A Foxtail Barns Wedding?
It’s not hard to see why Rox and Nick fell in love with Foxtail Barns. The modern, light-filled barn, the beautiful grounds, and the cute shepherd huts for guests made it feel like the perfect place to begin their married life. It did stretch the budget, so they went full DIY where they could – but you’d never know it!

Spring Vibes & DIY Details
Florals and venue styling weren’t their biggest priority, but they still wanted the day to feel pretty and fresh. Using bud vases, we (yes — MOH duties here!) made simple but beautiful flower arrangements. The bride’s bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets, and table flowers were all handmade the night before, which was a lovely bonding moment. Napkins were from Shein, chargers were hired, and it all came together so beautifully.

Just Married and So In Love
The whole vibe of the day was “get married and have fun” – and they nailed it. Rox and Nick chose a sweetheart table so they could actually sit, chat and eat together (their favourite thing to do!) and have a moment just for themselves amidst the buzz. From emotional moments to big laughs and meaningful traditions, it was a wedding I’ll never forget – both as a photographer and a very proud big sister.
