It’s always a privilege to document a family’s milestones, and Anne and JT’s journey has been especially close to my heart. From capturing their wedding in 2018 to photographing Deven’s 4th birthday, it’s been a joy to see their family grow and evolve. I absolutely loved shooting this Birthday Lifestyle Shoot!

A Nepalese Tradition and a Day at Home
Deven’s birthday was a mix of celebration, family time, and a touch of tradition. His grandmother joined in to keep the Nepalese birthday customs alive, smearing colourful yoghurt on Deven’s forehead—a beautiful nod to their heritage.

The day was a blend of meaningful moments. We started with cake decorating in the kitchen, followed by a heartfelt offering of food as the family reflected on gratitude. These little rituals gave me a chance to capture their closeness and values.

Rainy Walks and Indoor Memories
We planned a quick walk outdoors, but the unpredictable weather had other ideas! Rain cut the stroll short, but it didn’t dampen the day. Instead, we made the most of the cosy moments indoors, photographing laughter, play, and snippets of everyday family life.
