Back in January, I had the absolute pleasure of heading over to Dubai to photograph an incredible aerial dance shoot for the amazing team at Maca DXB.
This shoot was all about showcasing the insane talent of their dancers — capturing their strength, grace, and skill on a whole range of apparatus. From hoop and silk to static trapeze, net and aerial hammock, every performer brought something so unique and powerful to the studio.

Aerial dance is one of those things that looks effortless when done well, but takes so much control, technique and confidence. My job was to capture not just the moves, but the emotion and energy behind them — those split-second shapes, the mid-air expressions, the connection between performer and movement.
I absolutely loved working with this brilliant, welcoming group of artists, and seeing what they create high above the ground. It’s such a niche and beautiful thing to photograph, and it really reminded me how important it is to document these passions — whether it’s for your portfolio, your studio, or simply to celebrate what you love doing.

If you’re a performer, creative or business looking to capture your craft in a way that feels bold and authentic — I’d love to hear from you. I’m always up for something a little different.
